India is definitely hopeful, inspired: Aishwarya Rai on Narendra Modi's win

As soon as major news channels began announcing Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in the national election last week, many celebrities took to Twitter, others phoned and the rest congratulated BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in person.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have missed her scheduled appearance at the 67th Cannes Film Festival due to flight delay, but the Bollywood actress sure knows how to make headlines. While speaking to CNNIBN, the actress, who will walk the coveted red carpet on May 20 and 21, conveyed her greetings to Narendra Modi.
When asked for her perspective on how India is looking towards its future post the impressive victory of Modi in the Lok Sabha elections, she said, "I think India is definitely hopeful, definitely inspired. We are looking forward to India shining. With all respect, we welcome you, Prime Ministerji. I heard in his speech today about how this definitely is going to be a journey together. And yes, as one amongst the people of my country, we'd love to take this journey and ride together. God Bless. Success ahead," she said.
